THE Lions started slowly and never got into their stride throughout the match. After going a goal down they equalised through a goal from Jack Marshall that flew past the away 'keeper.

Minutes later Alex headed a fine goal from a Dan Hill corner, and in the second half the Lions extended their lead through a neat finish from Marshall into the top corner. Melbourn bounced back with two goals that stunned the Lions and their coach.

With six minutes left Kieron scored a fourth from close range and Dan Hill completed the scoring with a run and good strike across the keeper into the bottom corner. It was a very under par performance but it was three points nonetheless and they can, and will, play much better. Man-of-the-match went to Alex Simmons.
