Stevenage Borough Kites 1

MELBOURN Panthers secured the Division Three title in front of their biggest crowd of the season with a good team performance that saw seven of their players getting on the score sheet.

After forcing a series of corners, Ryan Lees was credited with the opener on three minutes after a Josh Hutton corner caused confusion at the back for the Kites defense.

He made amends after 13 minutes, though, as his curling right-footed corner somehow evaded everyone to double Melbourn's advantage.

A minute later he grabbed his second to make it 3-0 after a typical run and powerful finish gave the Kites 'keeper no chance.

Panthers continued to press on and were rewarded with their fourth when Sam Potterill tapped home from close range after the Kites 'keeper made two fine saves.

Storey completed his hat-trick on 21 minutes with his third attempt after a series of rebounds fell kindly for him before Luke Eades slid home.

Joe Greeman stepped up to score his first goal of the season from the spot.

Eades slotted home from a corner early in the second half but two minutes later it was 8-1 as the Kites attacker toe poked home after a strong run through the middle.

Shortly afterwards a Jack Morley clearance fell at the feet of player-of-the-match, Nathan Proud, who fired home with great accuracy. Dingwell then hit a glorious shot into the top left corner to make it 10-1 and he was at hand to tap home the final goal of the game just before the final whistle.
