Bishop's Stortford Swifts 8 Bassingbourn Youth 1

Under-11s League Cup

BASSINGBOURN went out of the cup against the Swifts from Division One at the weekend.

Goalkeeper John Dix put in a magnificent display and pulled off numerous great saves to keep the Swifts' total down while up front the pace of Jake Keeble was always a threat and he was duly rewarded with Bourn's only goal of the game following a good run.

The back four worked hard with the performance of Matthew Gwynn playing in the unfamiliar role of centre back being particularity noteworthy but ultimately the greater team work of the Swifts ensured that they ran out easy winners.
