Under-10s

AFTER an even start to the match, Bassingbourn Reds took control and began to play some lovely football.

A nice move on the left of the area led to the first goal with Jonah Stekly finished nice and low to make it 1-0 at half time.

The second half began as the first finished with the Reds in control and they soon made the game safe.

A lovely run from the halfway line and a cool finish from Stekly made it 2-0 and then an own goal after a quality cross put the game past Stortford.

The Reds eased off towards the end of the game but their defence and keeper stayed calm and the game finished 3-0.

The Whites fell behind to an early goal but responded well and Andrew Jones scored with a cracking finish from a tight angle to make it 1-1 at half time.

The second half was pretty exciting with chances at both ends, but Whites' defence held firm and midway through the half a neat move from a corner led to the Whites taking the lead with a second from Andrew Jones.

The same player chased down a Stortford goal kick to fire home for his hat-trick and a deserved 3-1 win to Whites.
