BASSINGBOURN suffered late heartache in this tense top of the table clash against an unbeaten Bedwell side at the Rec.

Whites' tactics were spot on and to a man they battled hard and denied Galaxy time on the ball, with Arthur Baigent and Sam Lay working their socks off in midfield.

Both teams gave absolutely everything and a draw looked to be the most likely and fairest outcome, but deep into injury time, Bedwell scored from a corner with virtually the last kick of the game to send the visitors into raptures and leave the home side on their knees.
