REDS struggled to recapture the excellent form that they had shown 24 hours earlier against Hormead as they slipped to defeat against a well organised Bedwell side.

Bassingbourn started well but they went behind early on in the game when a Rapids player was left unmarked and drilled the ball past the 'keeper.

Reds tried to raise themselves with the midfield dynamo Joe Failletiaz working as hard as ever but they were being closed down at every opportunity and Bedwell doubled their lead from a corner on the right.

Rapids looked dangerous on the break and as the game went on Bassingbourn tired and they started to exert more pressure and went on to add a third late on to seal the win.
