Jewellery grabbed in gamlingay raids
17:04 - 06 November 2009
POLICE are investigating a spate of burglaries in Gamlingay.

Three properties in Station Road, Gamlingay, were targeted between 1pm - 4pm yesterday (Thursday), and officers from Cambridgeshire police have today been carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the village.

In the first raid jewellery including a gold ring with an amethyst stone, a white gold ring with a diamond solitaire and an Egyptian gold wedding band were taken, while from the second property they took a grey Dell laptop. It is unknown at this stage whether anything was stolen from the third address.

Sergeant Paul Rogerson, investigating, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have information about these burglaries.

"Did you see anything suspicious in the area between 1pm and 4pm yesterday? Did you notice any unusual vehicles in the area?

"Any information no matter how small may help with this investigation," he said.

Anyone with information should contact Sgt Rogerson at Histon Police Station on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
